This early 19th C Georgian Old Sheffield Silver Plate Meat Domeis just the right size, measuring 15" Long x 10" Wide x 8" HighIncluding the removable handle.No need to prepare a 20+ pound Turkey for this dome. The ovalshape lends itself to various cuts of fish as well as fowl;or a very colorful platter of steamed veggies.The design of the handle is a flowing, twisted vine thatrests above the fluted dome.There is a gadrooned border above the base.The focal point of this antique dome is an upright,fiercely roaring Lion beautifully framed within thick swirling decorativeleaves.The interior is very clean, and the dome is in very good conditionwith minor, normal signs of use.
