You are bidding on an Antique General Phonograph Co. Baby Cabinet Child's Victrola. It is marked in front Baby Cabinet, Made in U.S.A., The General Phonograph Mfg. Co, Elyria, Ohio. This is the cutest Child's or Baby Victrola. It has nusery rhyme graphics on three sides. The back is blank. Humpty Dumpty is on the front, the crank side has Mother Goose and the other side has a boy with a pie, probably Simple Simon, Jack Horner or Master Jack? The measurements are 17 1/4" high, by 9 1/4" wide, by approx. 10 1/4" deep. The top of the lid and sides are metal, with the framework made of wood. The front w Humpty Dumpty is, lifts up and slides in to store records. The crank unscrews as per normal victrolas. For shipping I will put the crank and the reproducer in the storage area in front. Also turntable works. I cranked it up and turned the switch and it ran. The lid cannot close when the reproducer is in place. The reproducer is missing the set screw to hold the needle and it has no needle. I borrowed one and used a small screw to hold it in place just to see if the reproducer would make sound on a record. It did, but the reproducer needs to be adjusted to the correct angle and such. (It was heavy and I held it up just touching the record to see if the reproducer made sound.) I'm a novice on these things. As you can see from the pictures, read more
