Antique German Bisque ABG Turned Shoulderhead 22" Doll - With Blue PW Eyes, Original Wig & Body. This is a really beautiful German Bisque Shoulderhead Doll by Alt, Beck & Gottschalk. She is marked on the left edge of her shoulderplate 639 & on the right (size) 11. The head is in beautiful condition with no cracks, chips, or hairlines- there is no paint on the top of her solid dome head. She has lovely modeling of the shoulders & brown feathered brows, delicate eyelashes, a light red mouth with a darker line in the middle & soft cheek color. The head has an 11 1/4" circumference & is 6" tall. Herlight blue feathered paperweight eyes are just mesmerizing! Just really BEAUTIFUL!!. Her cloth body is original, but does have issues. Her bisque lower arms have a few paint spots & uneven coloration, but NO cracks or chips. THe upper arms have been slip covered with stocking material. Her cloth body is solid, but the lower legs ( with stripe printed stockings & red lace up boots) have been re-attached at some time in her history( see pic). The boots are well-worn, but still solid. The mohair wig is original, but not in very good shape -quite a bit sparse. This doll is ALL about the head!!
