I am selling doll items from my friend's estate. She had a doll hospital, and also collected for many years Antique German bisque head doll, made around 1890-1900 by C M Bergmann. Her head was probably made by Armand Marseille. Her head is marked 1912 (very small at the top of the pate rim) , then Germany, B5. The doll is 23" tall and has a bisque socket head with feathered eyebrows, upper and lower painted eyelashes, and blue blown-glass sleep eyes. She has an open mouth with four square cut teeth. There is a dimple in her chin. The head is not perfect- there is a factory flaw (split) at the very top of the pate rim behind her right ear. The hairline does not go onto the face. The doll has her original wood and composition ball jointed body. The shoulder balls are missing- I did not have any to fit. If you have the right size, I would be happy to restring her with them. The hands are replaced or repainted. The body has it's original shellac finish which has darkened, also there are some paint chips and paint loss. She can hold a pose, but I think her dress would look much better if she had her shoulder ball-joints. The doll is wearing long stockings, newer black shoes and ruffled pantaloons. I just love her antique/vintage pink striped Victorian dress. It has a blouson bodice with a waistband, slit skirt and lots of little read more
