Antique German Character Beer Stein MunichDescription: This very interesting German beer stein belongs to the family of character steins - steins made in a shape of an object or person. They are also called "figural".This particular one is made in a shape of the Munich Child - the child monk that was the symbol of the city of Munich for about 800 years.There is no marks but the stein is well-known to the collectors and described in "The Beer Stein Library". these steins were made by various companies of which I don't know which made this one, it is 5 3/4 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches at the base excluding the handle .......... as always you be the judge.
