This is a black leather Antique German Fireman's Helmet in the typical German style with a high brass comb along the top; a brass bound front and black visor with a heavy leather chin strap and brass side buttons. This helmet has an ornate fire helmet plate with ladder, hose, axes, helmet, etc. The plate reads "BUCHBACH" in center and "FREIWILLIGE" at top of circle and "FEUERWEHR" at bottom of circle. Helmet is approx. 7-1/8" size and in excellent condtion except for wear shown in photos. I don't read German and this is all the information I have on this helmet. You are the experts, so you decide.
