ANTIQUE GERMAN IPF FLOW BLUE TORTE PLATTER PLATE This auction is for a vintage flow blue handled torte or cake platter or tray made by IPF of Germany. IPF was a German Company that competed with RS Prussia and was the Ilmenauer Porzellain G.m.b.h. factory of Thuringer, Germany. It has the IPF trademark on the base which dates it between 1903 through 1930. It has a lovely embossed large white flower design. Splashes of flow blue flow around the embossing and through the center of the platter. It has two cut out handles. It measures 10" from handle to handle and stands about 1 1/4" tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a tiny rough spot on the rim where it feels a tiny bit uneven but I believe it is a very minor manufacturing flaw. There is some light utensil surface scratches on the blue but I believe this is quite minor and does not deter from this lovely tray. This is a very stunning cake platter. Thanks for looking.
