This is from my private collection of 18th century porcelain. I will be listing more in the coming weeks and months.This an antique Furstenberg porcelain portrait plaque from the 1770's.The plaque is white with a blue bisque center. In the center of the blue is a raised cameo style portrait of Pythagoras who was a Greek Philosopher and Mathematician.Around the top portion is a garland.The plaques has gold trim.Above the portrait it says " Pythagoras" in gold lettering.On the back it is stamped "Pythagoras". There is also a "K" stamped at the top and a "No 2". Hand painted is "F".It measures 3 1/8" tall by 2 3/4" at the widest point.Very good condition, no chips or cracks. Just some wear to the gold trim.
