Two beautiful Jasper Ware plaques. it seems they may have come from older molds, because of the fine quality. One is a lady of the Sea, with a Dolphin and Cherubs on the waves. I saw this Dolphin on another Volkstedt Plaque. The other is a beautiful lady ,with cupids, cherubs, and doves. I think these plaques were once mounted in frames. They have pin holes round the edge for tacking into place, or they could be hung with a wire . .Excellent Condition. The only thing is a slight chip on the back outside edge. No wear to the front ,fingers,toes etc., These would look gorgeous framed. Nice size 12"tall x 61/2" wide. Beautiful Pair for the collector. Artists initials in the left hand corner of the plaques. The green on one is lighter than the other. I don't know why, because they are a pair. The same No. is on the back of both. The same artists initials on the front corners.
