Here is a wonderful antique German paper mache milliner's model doll. She stands 6 1/4" tall and wears her original clothes, which consist of pink cotton printed pantalets that stop at the top of her thighs, a cotton slip, printed pink cotton dress with wide belt, a darker pink apron. All piece have faded with age, and a tiny bit of shattering can be seen on both arms, but this is consistent with her age. Her hair is pulled back in what I think is called a spaniel ears hairdo, which places her in the early 19th century. Her feet are flat with painted slippers, and both wooden arms have carved hands, though the fingers are worn from the right hand. She has a soft, gentle expression, and would fit well in a vignette with other dolls, in a doll house, or in the arms of a bigger doll. She does have damage at her back, and this is clearly shown. I bought her for my doll house, but she is too big, so I am asking only what I paid, but will seriously consider any reasonable offer.
