You are bidding on a (c.1900's) Cracked Case Gilbert Porcelain Eight Day Strike Mantle Clock. 8"W X 5.5"D X 10.5"H. Appears completely original. Running & striking correctly. Movement stamped with the maker's name on the front plate & on the round metal to case frame, also stamped, Pat'd March, 1900. Movement appears to have been recently oiled. Running okay for now, but I have no way of knowing when it may have been serviced, and tfore t is no guarantee for continued satisfactory running, or striking. The brass bezel has separated from the hinge & will have to be resoldered . In effect, you are buying a running movement, pendulum, hands, dial, mounting hardware, back door, wooden base & the gong stand. Please check the photos , and ask your questions before you bid. Please check my feedback. If you have any doubts about this clock or the case, please do not bid. I would rather sell it for less, than have an unhappy buyer. Please ask your questions before bidding. If you would like other pictures, I will try to accommodate. This clock is being sold in as found condition, as is, without guarantees after shipping. Buyer pays ($7.50) packing and shipping materials. Shipping, and insurance to be determined . Please note: I will not ship out of U.S. Please check my other clocks for auction.
