Nice French Empire period Gilt Clock. Early 19th Century. Hand cast bronze fittings. Black solid marble base and columns,hand cut and polished. Finely detailed castings with mercury gilding. Original dial. Silk suspension movement with chime in near working order. The mechanism operates, but not quite enough power. So it appears all the parts are t, looks like all it needs is a cleaning if you wish to use movement. Includes winding key. All hand cut hardware. This clock is from about 1810- 1820 or earlier. A very nice rare piece all hand made. Includes bell. (not shown in picture) Minor repair on one of the columns (as shown)not unusual Approximately 17" high. Will be shipped partially dis-assembled and double boxed. An oversear buyer must pay actual shipping costs. (about 140.00)
