Absolutely Gorgeous 1890 Glenwood Parlor Stove with nickel plated accent trim. The wonderful scene of playful cherubs on the front door of the Glenwood Parlor Stove is a delightful design/decorative feature. The front is complimented by a nickel footrest and a nickel plate at the top featuring the Glenwood name. The body of the stove is covered with relief work. Lovely sunscape or perhaps seashell (?) designs are found on both sides of the stove. Wood is loaded from a side door and a 2 pot cooklid is hidden beneath the removable top. The Glenwood Parlor stove is both an efficient heating stove and a well-crafted antique. This Stove came with the house 2 years ago and we're remodeling...time for it to go to a good home!Awesome heating, conversation starter and a piece of American History all in one! These stoves sell for much more than we are asking...from $2500 to upwards of $3800. We sent photos of the actual stove to an antques appraiser who deals with these beauties......a little cleaning, replating and who knows what it will be worth!Stove is in working order. no visible rust on inside or outside. Brownish shadows in pictures (mostly on plated parts) are not rust, just shadows from the flash. Stove is inside of house and was last used approx. 6 months ago. Good heat output! Black finish in very good condition-no scratches. No dents on stove. The only things we can see that are broken or damaged: 1) On footrest, left side upper slide in connector appears to be broken off about 1/2 way but still slides into receptacle. Left bottom rest doesn't quite meet stove ledge. You might be able to twist the piece slightly to have it meet...we haven't tried to do that. Other side of footrest fine. 2) Some deterioration of plating on the front 'Glenwood' nickel plated piece, see close up picture-dark areas are w the plating has eroded. 3) On the top decorative finial, t is a slight separation of the two halves on the right side top and right 'wing/scroll work' moves from side to side slightly...see close up picture of finial , it is hard to spot separation from the angle, we tried to get a pic but is so close-up to see, the flash washes out detail. Nothing else appears to be broken or missing. We have looked inside of stove, but don't know if anything is missing or not. We have used the stove and it has burned fine.Stove will need to be picked up in Little River, CA or we can deliver to the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for $200. You will need to arrange help to unload it.
