This desk is obviously in need of restoration. I do not know exactly how old it is. I did a little research and although articles contradict each other; I have found in general the Globe company existed from about 1882- 1899 before it became the Globe-Wernicke company so the desk would have had to been built before the acquisition of the Wernicke company. Wood species is quartersawn white oak. It measures 66" x 34"x 51"High One of the pullout trays is missing as well as 2 panels back of knee hole. The roll top is in very good condition.
