Antique Gold Ostby Barton OB Ring Size 5.5 Rare. Pre-owned in gold condition. I am not sure the purity of the gold ring. It is hallmarked OB, three crowns, a rounded rectangle and the letter C. The OB stands for the Ostby and Barton company. The ring is size 5.5. It is 5.5mm wide. It is very lightweight. I do not have a scale I am so sorry but lighter than a quarter.The Ostby & Barton Company was a jewelry firm established by Engelhart C. Ostby and Nathan B. Barton in 1879 would continue to be a major producer of gold rings in the United States until the death of Englehart Ostby on April 15, 1912, as he perished on the sinking of the Titanic.
