Antique GRANITE IRON WARE Large Mottled Grey Enamelware Dry Goods Scoop Ornate Stamp Mark PAT May 30, 76 and July 3, 77Antique GRANITE IRON WARE mottled grey dry goods store? and similar uses scoop such as grain,flour,sugar...large stamp mark on back with ornate border featuring a granite ware pot in the center. PAT May 30,76 and July 3, 77 (1876)substantial solid construction with secure riveted curved handle and smooth areas of wear to the finish all the way down to the niche for thumbmeasures approx.8.75" from handle outer portion to front edge of scoop.Is approx. 3.5" wide at widest points and is approx. 3.0" high at highest points at the back endOverall antique condition is good to very good having expected signs of wear from regular handling,use & possible storage over the course of many decades for a utilitarian item of this kind.NOTED but not necessarily limited to were- both small and larger areas of wear to the enamel(down to the metal in several places),scratches,scuffs,minor discoloration in some places and a fissure crack on the left side that begins at the rim and runs down about an inch to where the most significant wear spots are.You can see slightly through the crack if you hold the scoop up to the light.The heavy duty design of the scoop is such though, that it does not affect it's ability to function or be used.
