Unusual antique Art Nouveau locket with double, facing gryphon griffin heads surrounded by swirling leaves and flowers. At the center is a shield shape outlined with tiny Gryphon paste stones. The locket has an overall lightly frosted gold finish...it is likely gold filled but is not marked (aside from the maker's name which is S&BL Co). There is a very shallow ding at bottom back and light surface wear, mostly to the back...This locket measures about 1 1/8" diameter, not including the bail. The locket opens and snaps closed properly!
