For your auction consideration is a stunning original antique condition Gustav Becker wall clock. This clock displays the look of both classical craftsmanship and elegance. The wood, face and movement of this clock are clean, shiny and free of any major defects. The wooden case is in very nice condition and displays a lot of character. Be sure to note the attention to detail and the fine intricate work, details and carvings- especially on the carved horse! The face of this clock is distinctive and beautiful. It features the sought after second ring of red numerals, clean and crisp hands and a flawless, shiny porcelain face surface. The pendulum of this fabulous clock is unlike any I have ever seen before. It features a stunning design that you will not find with any other clock! Clock comes with a key but I am fairly certain that it not original to this clock. This is clock is the prefect size, not too big and not too small. It is sure to demand attention in any room in which it is placed! I hung this clock on the wall, wound in and leveled it. This Gustav worked for the time that I had it hung, kept good time and gonged once on the half hour and the appropriate number of times for the time on the hour. I removed the face for photos, the buyer will most likely have to spend some time getting it perfectly centered again. Please remember, most clocks need an adjustment after being shipped. Please study the photos and use the "zoom in feature". I do not want any potential bidder to miss any detail. In addition to above, I observed that this clock's horse crown appears to have been repaired a couple of times. I took photos of the areas to give viewers a good representation of the repairs. The wood on the back of the clock has a slight bow to it. There are areas of the finish, mostly on the smaller wood pieces that show this clock's age in the form of thin and missing finish. There is a crack in the wood case, just above the face that can be repaired if the buyer decides to or left to add character to the presentation on the clock. There is no doubt that this is an original, not restored clock that is nearing 100 years old! This clock will be carefully packaged and shipped with either FedEx or USP (my choice unless the buyer has an opinion either way). The package will be fully insured and a tracking number will be provided to the winning bidder. Please remember, clocks sometimes require adjustments after being shipped.
