Antique victorian or art nouveau era metal circlet that appears to be a hair decoration of some kind. Perhaps it was used with an elaborate old-fashioned "up-do" hair style typical of the victorians or maybe it was a child's hair piece or tiara. I looked all over eBay trying to find a similar item in several different categories, including bridal wedding veil tiaras, besides jewelry with no luck. So, decided it would be most appropriately listed in the jewelry section as an early decorative hair style accessory. Description: Dark silver-toned metal over a copper base. There are areas where the copper is visible especially around the fancy filigree bead area. Mottled Pink and White glass crackle bead in metal bezel. The bead is not completely centered bearing a little more to the left of the setting. The circlet measures about 16" around, 5 1/2" across and 1/2" wide at the glass bead setting. The metal circle is slightly uneven in places. Please email questions.
