This is a superb antique hallmarked silver cigar case measuring 3 1/4" (8 cms) x 5" (12.5 cms). It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1905 and is by the silversmith Joseph Gloster who worked from the Lion Silver Works, Hockley Hill, Birmingham at this time. The condition is absolutely superb with no damage just some light surface marks - there is no inscriptions or monograms. It still snaps shut tightly, it has a gilt interior which is nice and clean and ready to use and it weighs 155.6 grams.
