ANTIQUE FIGURALHAND-CRAFTED SOUVINER SPOON WITH SWASTIKA 5-1/2" OAL This great coin silver spoon is in pristyne condition! It is handmade, most likely dated between 1889-1920 and is typical of the spoons made by Native Americans of the Southwest at this time. The top of the spoon has a crafted Swastika/Whirling Log - the symbol of good luck. The body enirely outlined on the front with stampings. A decorative bow and arrow plus another swaskita are stamped in the bowl. Hand tool marks all over front and back Although I cannot verify the silver content as t are content markings to identify on the spoon - I believe it is coin silver at the very least. Beginning around 1889, engraved silver spoons became coveted souvenirs - made for tourists by Native American Indians of the Southwest.
