This hand auger was on display in my grandmothers house for as long as i can remember (40+ years) and has never been used for its intended purpose. It is in remarkable condition given its age with no chips or dings on it cutting edge, its still very sharp and center screw is in great shape as well. It will drill a 2" hole with ease in wood. the only "condition" issue i can find is a scar on its fluted edge that appears to be a result of the manufacturing process, I had never noticed it until i was taking pictures and is completely indistinguishable when on display. In the picture it appears to be a crack, but it isn't, more like a scar. The handle measures 18 inches and the drill measures 19 inches.
