This is hand painted jug made by Royal Worcester in the 19th century and painted with a picture of a bird on one side and flowers on the other. The jug is in the shape of a barrel and was probably painted by John Hopewell who specialised in birds and worked at the Royal Worcester factory from 1855 to 1890. It is in good condition for its age; there are no chips but there seems to be a small hairline that shows as a brown line to the inside of the jug. There is also some surface crazing. The jug has the early Royal Worcester stamp to the base with the date code N for 1878. There are also some inscribed letters or numbers but I can't make them out. The jug stands 10.5 cm high and the base is 8.5 cm in diameter. I usually post within 1 day of receiving payment. I'm listing some other Worcester items and can usually reduce postage for multiple purchases.
