ANTIQUE HOMEMADE HANDSEWN"CRAZY" QUILTI think this crazy quilt is in excess of 100 years old. I boughtit from a lady who said she was 87 years old and it belonged toher grandmother, and was passed down to her mother and then to her.I have seen photographs of this same quilt (or one just like it) in a bookdescribing the Victorian Age whenever that was.It is made from different type of material and irregular shapedpieces. That is natural though. That is what makes it crazy.It has oodles of embroidery, all handmade of course.It has been used a lot. It has some stains on the back sideand we did not wash it. Some of the material is a little bitfrayed out. But that should be expected when something isthis old.The size is 74 inches wide by 76 inches long.
