Antique Ephemera, Paper, Prints, Cigarette Cards, Books, and Comics Rare 65 page photo article or book extract from 1895 entitled "Golf" by Caspar W Whitney writing about sport in England in 1885. The book has some interesting detail on the history of the game along with course plans for St Andrews and St Georges. It discusses the merits of Orange wood, ash and hickory for shafts and also includes rules for the game with special rules for medal play and local rules for St Andrews.
