Antique Iran (Persian) Isfahan Wool Rug Carpet 1940's? NO RESERVE!!! NO RESERVE!!! This rug is approximately 60 years old, (could be older but 1940's -1950 is our best research. It is very tightly woven, made in Iran (Persia). We believe that it is an Isfahan, which would have been in Central Iran. This is the same area that the Kashan, Joshaghan, Qum, Tehran, & Nain rugs are woven. They are all part of the Isfahan Group. It is 41" across (3 feet, 5") and 58 1/4" long (4 feet 10 1/2 inches long). It is a very nice area size rug. The pile is still in very nice condition (about 3/8" thick and does not have any wear spots or cord showing through. We took pictures front & back so you could see the tight weave. The picture first set of pictures were taken in very bright sunlight so you could see the nice condition, but the first & the last 3 pictures were taken inside so you could appreciate the depth & richness of the colors. These are deep blues & reds in true color. E-mail for more photographs if needed. What a elegant piece to use in any room & it would also be a great addition to any collection!!
