19th century, probably made by Ashworth, tureen with English registry mark for 1850.Platter 19 in.; Tureen 8 x 13 in.From the Personal Collection of Bob Timberlake, Lexington, North CarolinaPlatter with edge hairline and heat crazing; some blackening to one area of the platter rim; tureen has nicks around the spoon slot. Other imperfections and signs of wear and use.
