The top rim has gold gilding too. The inside edge has almost a puzzle like pattern. The field on the outside of the bowl is actually tiny blue dots over a solid black background. Then flowers of gold on top of that. The rim on te bottom of the bowl is one half inch tall and maybe considered a foot by some. Then surrounded with a Feather or Blue Flame pattern. The is a backstamp on the bottom, but the letters are Japanese. Top rim is 8.25 inches wide, and it stands 3.5 inches tall. This bowl can have so many uses. Art on the shelf, center piece, fruit bowl and on and on. Payment due in 7 days from purchase.
