This is a Japanese sword in honzukuri mountings. The blade is no signed ,Shinogi-Zukuri shape, muromachi period ca.1550 era made Yamato school blade. The blade is in old full polish, shows tiny scratches on surface but no stain, no rust and in very good condition. The temper line is Sugu temper pattern and Shallow return Ko-maru temper at the point. The forging grain is tight Straight-hada and one forging flaw at all. The scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard, shows lacquer crack but no dent and in good condition. The handle wrapp is old wrapping, tight fit with Katakiri Shakudo fuchi and kashira with matched bow and arrow silver menukis. The tsuba is marugata shape Ume motif with gold inlay iron tsuba. It is dress up with black tassel. It measures 61.5cm" tip to the guard, 48.7cm" cutting edge, 3cm" width, 8mm thickness at the notch and 68.5cm" in mountings. Shipping is $65 priority in worldwide.
