Up for bid is this original condition Jerome & Co. Mantle Clock from the late 1800's, in working order. The Jerome Co. of New Haven Connecticut is a well known manufacturer of high quality clocks of this era. The Mahogany case is in very good condition with the door and glass intact, and the door closing tightly. The clock has the original label intact. The clock measures 13" high, 10.5" wide and 4" deep. The painted metal face does show its age, with chipping that is apparent in the photos. The clock is run by an original Jerome & Co. brass time and strike movement w/ an alarm feature. The clock runs, keeps time and strikes the hour correctly, but the alarm is not working as it is missing a connecting rod from the movement to the alarm mechanism. This is not a difficult repair for anyone knowlegable in old clocks. The clock is sold with a key and pendulum weight. This clock is being offered with no reserve and a very low opening bid. Please submit any questions and good luck bidding.
