This auction features an antique dip pen made with a turned or carved wooden handle and a gold colored metal. It was made by John Holland of Cincinnati, Ohio. The box is marked with his name and the nib says JOHN HOLLAND CIN. O. #2. The pen comes apart to fit in the custom fitted box. The pen put together with the nib in it measures almost 6" long. It comes in its' original travel case. It is in very good used condition. Some wear to the wood. The part that holds the nib has two tiny cracks which can only be seen under magnification. I did not even see them until I was shooting the photographs. The pen is still sturdy. Nib also shows wear and signs of use. It has been well preserved by storing it in its' original travel box. The back of the case has lost its tape so the lid is not attached to the bottom. Please see my other items !
