This old thimble has a deep foliate design that is washed with gold. It is marked M&D sterling on the inside and 9 on the outside. It is 7/8 of an inch long. It is perfectly round with no worn areas. The gold wash is much more pronouned than our photos show. All items will be carefully packed and shipped within 1 day of payment. Insurance is at the option of the buyer for shipments outside the USA. Due to problems with delivery in Italy, items shipped there must be registered mail at the buyers expense.
