ANTIQUE SHABU BRASS KOREAN l HOT POT / SOUP COOKER / FOOD WARMERFeatures ornate inscription on top of lid, integrated into this piece are four carrying handles two for the lid and two for base. Does show some patina and has some discoloration in spots which may or may not buff out if polished. Please see all pictures for details. Shows some signs of wear Measures 7 wide X 5" high.Shabu Hot pot, less commonly known as Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to vessel used for cooking several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood.A beautiful collectors item that is still quite functional.
