LA PIERRE OPERATED IN NEW YORK CITY AND NEWARK FROM 1888 TO 1929 WHEN IT BECAME PART OF INTERNATIONAL. THE COMPOTE HAS BEAUTIFUL REPOUSSE BORDER. IT STANDS 6" TALL. IT IS MARKED ON THE BOTTOM AND IS WEIGHTED. IT HAS A FEW SMALL DINGS IN THE BOWL WHICH ARE NOT NOTICABLE. IT DOES SHOW SOME TARNISH AND COULD USE A GOOD POLISHING. IT WEIGHS 7.7 OUNCES.
