You are bidding on this Very Old Photograph of Arthur Mills, of Plymouth, Michigan. This picture is being sold from an estate, from Plymouth, Michigan. It is in a bowed glass & fancy wood frame. It is probably from the early 1900's. He died in the between 1940 - 1960. The frame has a gold paint to it. It looks very well made. The backing board is not firmly in place, it is a little bowed in and not flat. It has molded to the glass's bow. The string across the back is attached to a nail and a large black nail or tack. The frame does have a few nicks on the lower edges and a mark on the left front in the details as well as a mark just inside the lip of the lower left side which could be touched up with the same colored paint. The frame has a stamp from INTERNATIONAL ART CO., CHICAGO, ILL. QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP GUARANTEED. The frame measures 20 1/4" tall x 14" wide at the widest points. The solid wood part of the frame measures 18" x 12". The glass is in good condition, just a little dirty. I do not want to ruin it by cleaning it with the wrong kind of cleaner. I do not know what type of picture this is - if anyone can help, please tell me what this is called. It is a soft focused colored picture with greens, pinks, skin tones and browns.
