This is a rare late WWII era Japanese porcelain canteen. The canteen itself is in perfect condition. The cap is in excellent shape. The strap is very good with minor wear. The canteen measures 8.75 inches from bottom to top of cap. If you collect canteens, this will make for a very rare addition to your collection. This is guaranteed authentic and in great original condition. Since 1999 I've only found 5 of these in Japan, and this is the first one I'm seen in this very dark brown/black color. I've got a beautiful WWII era aluminum canteen listed now too. This porcelain canteen is quite heavy, shipping is a few more dollars than the other canteen.
