Authentic 1766 printing of PROPRIUM SANCTORUM insignis basilicae S. MARIAE IN COSMEDIN - 144 main book pages - 44 page addendum stitched in WHILE producing, not after book was made for special December projects and services AND an 8 page section NATIVITATIS 1764 stitched in as well - book is VERY well made and plate pressed using top quality paper - ALL pages have red and black ink - sides of paper are dyed red - book looks to have been used very little if at all ( back / spine nice and tight / all of book sound and tight ) and all pages are present and there are NO notes or markings - inside the cover is 3 color paper - normal to light wear to outside of book ZERO mold / moisture damage all flat - it looks like someone got this new and put it in a trunk - and from trunk to trunk to ship to wagon to trunk etc ( was unpacked at a sun valley Idaho thrift store 263 years later from a .. trunk ) outside is in deerskin with gold leaf tooling to spine and edges - the only mark is a book seller stamp DUBLIN BOOKSTORE 32 BACHELORS WALK and E2 in light pencil at cover page - there are / were several antique and old booksellers here ( painting of the above store by George Pennefather ) for example - book nice and flat with no odor or must , nice old paper / leather smell - 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 7/8 thick -as often this type of book survives people
