1836 ANTIQUE LEATHER ANCIENT HISTORY BOOKS COMPLETE AS ISSUED IN 8 VOLUME SET BY CHARLES ROLLIN Charles Rollin, Principal of the University of Paris among other titled positions authored this set of 8 books: The Ancient History of the Egyptians, Carthaginians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Medes and Persians, Grecians, and Macedonians. Translated from the French; published in Hartford, Con. by Andrus & Judd, later, Judd, Loomis & Co., 1836 from the 15th London Edition, Revised and Corrected. The books measure 4 1/2" x 7"; each has 324- 371 pages but one which has 277 pages; but for a couple of pages, all are held securely though some are bent, only a bit of writing within though a student name is on the inside of most of the covers. Covers are good as shown, the spine of vol I is stitched; the text is legible despite age coloring of the pages. This is a good old set of leather books to add to your collection. Please look over the pictures carefully for further description of these books.
