Your satisfaction is important to us and we are pleased to offer to you this: Wonderful Antique Braided Lorgnette or Watch Chain with Seed Pearls & Red Glass "Gem" The slide charm on this lorgnette or watch chain is one of the more lovely ones that I have seen and the braided chain enhances the engraved pattern inside the charm too. T are a total of 6 seed pearls in the charm; 3 on each side of the red glass "gem" in the center, which seems to have a light of it's own from the way it shines. Matter of fact, all of this sparkles and shines and we haven't cleaned it. The chain is in excellent condition and the slide charm slides easily up and down along it's length. The backside of the charm has a tiny dent, but other than this, it too is in excellent condition. The chain is 48 1/2 inches long and the clip at the end adds another 3/4 inches to the overall length. The end of this clip is marked 1/10, which means it is goldfilled, but at what karat it isn't indicated. Inside the clip is the maker's mark of RF&S CO. T is a small dark area on the ball shaped part of the clip, which might be wear through. It could just be discoloration too.
