This antique magic lantern is marked: The Enterprise, Pat. Sept. 5/99, on the front panel. There is no lens. Presumably it was made to use with a candle. It is not electric. It is in rough shape with a lot of surface rust but seems to be largely complete. From my testing it appears the rust can be removed. This was given to me several years ago and I have stored it and hauled it around ever since, thinking that I would eventually clean it up and restore it as much as possible. I no longer have space to work on it or to display it so it is time to give it up. It's an interesting piece of antique equipment.
