Antique Magic lantern slides - photos of horses in motion - Animal Locomotion by GWW I believe that, until photography came along, people were unable to draw or paint a moving animal because they couldn't capture the relationship between the different moving limbs. These slides seem to be an attempt to show how to draw them in a couple of different situations. The first slide is labelled 'White horse, ambling (bare back rider)' and 'Animal Locomotion. GWW.The second slide is labelled 'Grey mare jumping hurdles' and 'Animal Locomotion. GWW.The tapes around the edges are worn and with a slight tear in the corner of one, but otherwise in pretty good condition. Please note I AM NOT A DEALER - this is a private sale and part of ongoing 'clutter-clearing' and downsizing. The postage and packing costs reflect the new post office rates.
