For over a hundred years this one has been loved. It has a working lock with a single key to keep safe the things you value. Victorian dating from 1870 or earlier. Veneered in figured mahogany in top class condition with mother of pearl roundels,centre piece and matching key plate. The lid and front have bands of rosewood with pewter stringing on either side. French polished by myself ,by hand, the old fashioned way. Lined with a designer pale parchment paper with a gold thread which is perfect for the period. Mother of pearl roundels with rosewood centres are always a sign of superior quality ,it took just that little longer and added to the cost.
