An antique mahogany and brass single-draw naval telescope by Cary London. It is signed on the brass draw, but it is so rubbed with age it is hard to see. The telescope is 25" long when closed, and 31 1/4" extended. It has a dust shield over the eyepiece, and although there is a minor split in the brass on the end, it is in good condition for it's age. The mahogany shaft is free of dents and scratches. I am not an expert on these items, so that's about all I can say. I think it is early 19th century in date. The body is 2" across. I would like to add the optics are very clear.
