Terrific Mahogany Dining Room Chair, Set of 6! Beautiful details: rich, warm finish and practical sturdy styling! Set consists of five Side Chairs, plus one Armchair. In the style of Duncan Phyfe with Ribbon-back, made famous by Chippendale, with cutouts. Chair frames are all solid-mahogany. Gorgeous cream-colored Italian Damask upholstery, with cushions in excellent condition! (No stains, rips or wear from use.) Manufactured by Paramount Furniture Company of Warren, PA, circa 1940. (Paramount was a high quality manufacturer, established about the turn of the century; patents exist for them from the 1920's. Original labels are present on all chairs except one!!) Indeed, these well-built, sturdy chairs are ready for another 70 years of service! The Arm chair seat measures 21" wide by 17" deep, standing 36" tall. The side chairs are 20" wide by 16" deep. The height from the seats to the floor is 18 ½". (Notice that these are rather substantial seats by today's standards!) Warm finish, and shows expected scuffs/scratches, dings and wear for its age, nothing substantial . Why shop for pressboard construction, when you can have the classics for less?!
