From a fabulous Eastern Shore estate, is a gorgeous mahogany case clock made in Germany. This clock has wonderful Westminster chimes and chimes on the half and hour. The original pendulum as well as the original key is included. The bottom of the door case has an arched panel with beveled glass and the door latches closed on the side. T are no signs of damage or repair to this clock and, unfortunately, no maker marks but t is a serial number on the Westminster Chime works marked M1847. The local clockmaker believes it is a Friedrich Mauthe clock from the Black Forest, Schwenningen, Germany, circa 1884. It was incredibly dirty when I acquired it and it could use some more polishing. Runs great, but slow and the works probably need a more thorough cleaning. The face is made of tin and marked "GERMANY" under the 6 position. The clock also has a hand carved scroll on the top and the dimensions are 32" tall, 13"wide and 7" deep. This is an outstanding antique timepiece to adorn any decor. This clock weighs 20 lbs. and will be shipped via UPS for $35.00 due to the size and weight. International bidders and US residents in Alaska and Hawaii, please contact me for a shipping quote prior to placing a bid. As with all estate items, they are sold as is and NEVER a reserve.
