Offered for auction is a beautiful probably American majolica pitcher which features a lavender interior, basketweave exterior trim pink flower bud on one side and flower and leaves on the other. The colors in the picture are very close to reality. It measures 4 inches tall by about 4 inches wide from handle to spout. T is no makers mark. It is in very good condition with no cracks, repairs, or manufacturing flaws. T is moderate crazing. The upper rim has three 1/8 inch shallow chips that cannot be seen from the out side. The bottom has a 1/4 inch shallow chip at the base on the side with the flower bud. Finally the bottom has a shallow 3/4 by 1/4 inch chip which can only be seen when the pitcher is viewed from the bottom.
