For auction is an antique map of Florence, Italy titles "FIORENZA". The map has no author or date that I can find. I have looked around the internet and the only map like it I can find is : /italy/maps/florenceoldmap1.php The print impression measures roughly 17.5 by 12.5 inches (it slightly small than this) and the paper measures 18.5 by 13.5 inches. It is printed on thick laid paper. I think t's a water mark but it's light and kind of looks like an M. On the back t's a seam like t's two pieces glued together but on the front I can't find a seam. T is a fold line down the center w the map was once folded but it has been stored flat for many years. Also on the back, at the top is a hand written 73 in ink, stains from an old adhesive, some clear tape and in pencil written "before 1597". T's a large water stain across the top and a small tear at the bottom that doesn't enter the neat line. The scans make the map look more yellow than it really is. The two photos of the full shots are a much more accurate color. Please email me with anyquestions before you bid.
