ANTIQUE, MAPLE EASTLAKE ROCKING CHAIR in a Fairly Small Scale Period: Late Victorian circa 1880, perhaps later Manufacturer: Canadian, Unknown Condition: Fine Quality, Very Good to Excellent Overall Condition Height: 33 1/2 Inches at Back, 16 Inches to Seat Width: 14 1/2 to 18 Inches (seat), 12 1/2 Inches (at back of base) Depth Front To Back: 28 Inches (at Base), 15 1/2 Inches (seat depth) Photos: 1. Another Side View of Chair from a Higher Perspective Offered is a fine quality, attractive and functional, antique Eastlake maple rocking chair. The chair originally belonged to my grandparents who lived in Canada. It was then passed on to my aunt who used the rocker in a bedroom, a sitting room, and a sewing room over the years. She identified the rocker in her estate papers as Eastlake Canadian c. 1880, made of maple with turned legs and piercing and rococo design. Description: The rocking chair is made of maple and is fairly small in scale, making it an ideal piece for a nursery, bedroom, sewing room, etc. It could be used in a living room
