Up for sale this original Mark V diving helmet, which has been in my possession for 15 years. The type is Mark V MOD-I manufactured by A.Schrader's Son Division in 1943, Brooklyn, NY, USA.The breast plate number is 999-B and helmet number is 1013. T are 3 small dents on the top, but these only enhance the originality of the helmet. The helmet is still partially covered by a gold coloured layer (paint or maybe a remnant of the tin that was applied as anti corrosion?), which gives it a really nice used look. I have not cleaned the helmet since I bought it and leave it up to the new owner. The speaker is still inside, all the portholes are intact. The air intake and phone connection are sealed by the original brass caps. The housing for the speaker has the navy stamp in it as well as the number 999, but this number may have been put t later. The weight is approximately 26 kilogram (56 pounds). All in all a nice & complete original helmet looking for a new home. Please feel free to ask any questions but note that t might be a delay due to time difference and due to the fact that I do not always have access to the internet, however I will do my best to answer as soon as possible. Winner is expected to pay immediately after auction ends via PayPal or bank transfer. Good luck with bidding! Please note that shipping and insurance are NOT read more
