You wil be bidding on a very nice antique Masonic Knights Templar Ornate Ceremonial Sword, scabbard, and leather case for sword!! This antique sword measures approximately 35 1/2" in length and is very ornately decorated. The handle appears to be ivory and is in very nice shape for it's age. T is also a golden Knights helmet on the very top of the handle. T are many ornate knight scenes on the blade as well. Please see photos. It was manufactured by The M.C. Lilley & CO. Columbus Ohio between 1882 and 1925. It's scabbard measures about 29 3/4" in length. The leather case for the sword and scabbard measures about 38 1/2". The leather case has some wear and has "Frank W. Koch Williamsport, Pa." painted on leather case. The sword could use a cleaning but is in excellent condition for their age. The scabbard on the other hand is in poor to fair condition with some spots of rust. The scabbard definitely needs some cleaning and restoration. The name inscribed on the sword was "Frank W. Koch". On the sword in addition to the manufacturer and the Mason's name is the phrase "In Hoc Sicno Vinces" which is on the swords handle and "Memento Mor" which is on a skull and cross bones on the blade of the sword. T is a cloth that protects scabbard and sword. This cloth is very worn and as quite a few tears on it. This is one of the last items up read more
